More rain in the forecast!
It is supposed to rain tonight!!! Many farmers are worried as they are not finished seeding. This can put an abrubt halt into seeding and farmers have to wait for a few days for fields to dry up.

Spin Spreading
My brother owns a spinspreader and we spread fertilizer for many farms within the area. This week we got stuck really bad! The following pictures show my sister sinking my brothers spreader.
Spinspreading helps farmers to be more efficient. It means that they can carry more seed on their seeder. With a small timeframe to seed this helps them to be done faster. As you can see it is very easy to get stuck in the wet fields
There are 11 Tonnes of fertilizer in the back. This converts to approx 24250 pounds!!! |

No More rain
Most producers are well into seeding. This can be a hectic time of year as there is a small timeframe that this can be completed. In the next week there is a lot of rain in the forecast. This is going to frustrate farmers as they have not been able to seed until late because fields are too wet.

Start
As part of a marketing competition put on the by the Summer Synergy Youth Livestock Show, it is required to start a blog. I have chosen to base my blog around the concept of agricultural awareness withing the world. This is often a controversial subject as many people do not understand the importance of agriculture within the world. They do not realize that farming is the reason that there is food worldwide.
Urban citizens and more importantly urban youth need to be educated on the principals and have a general understanding of how agriculture affects them
